There was a good amount of corrosion in the on the head covers when I pulled them. I had them media blasted by the machine shop where I took my block which revealed a good amount of pitting on the starboard side cover. I was wondering if I should paint it with a zinc chromate type paint to prevent future corrosion, or just replace it. I will be using the engine in fresh water. Thanks.
