Heeling at WOT, HELP!!!

I have a 1965 aluminum Aroliner, with a 4o Yammy on it. At WOT, the boat starts to heel to starboard. I have to put a lot of correction in at the helm to get the boat flat again. It gets a bit hairy is another boat's wake hits me on the same side. It has caused me to take in water before. I can't afford hydrolic trim tabs, and the motor has no hydrolic trim either. My zinc is on straight, and the motor is mounted exactly on centre of the transom. The boat is a V-bow, transitioning to a flat bottom at the transom. Any ideas?

Thanks folks!

My guess is that the torque created by the engine is causing you boat to list at WOT. I'm running an Aquasport with a 250 HP Merc. I correct the problem with trim tabs. a few weeks back the tabs crapped out and I too am dealing with that list.
Good Luck!
Adam

Adjust thr aft edge of the tab approx 1 1/2 to 2 deg. to stbd. That should solve the problem. Most O/B,s will pull to stbd until this adj. is made and refined.

Pursuit,

Do you mean to adjust the zinc tab 2 degrees or so to stbd? I think it's pretty straight right now, so I will try it!
