I believe they make ALL boats so the sending unit is accessible.
Can't imagine removing the floor to change a sending unit that goes bad when it gets the least little bit of water on it:(.

I'm in north Alabama, on the Tennessee River.

The plan along has been to rip out the floor, as it wasn't restored properly by the previous owner. I'll be doing a more in-depth inspection of everything below when it's gone. Given that I'd already be down there, it makes sense to make sure that the tank is right... Especially since the last person to have been down there decided not to fix whatever issue he found with it.

On the whole, the interior's all coming out - all the vinyl, seats - pretty much everything bow to stern but the dash and splash well. And if I find any surprises that the inspections didn't reveal, this will be come a full-fledged project boat because I'm that hardheaded.

Fully intend to take plenty of pics throughout the process - partially to keep track of how everything is so that I know how to put it back in place, and partially as a scrapbook of sorts.

I have to get some other stuff done for the wife first - it was a promise I made before I bought it, and I'm gonna honor that. When I begin, I'll start a thread in the Restoration forum to share my experiences. Hopefully I can get the same great guidance as I've seen others receive.

I'm sure you will. Keeping the Admiral happy is always a good thing.
