I'd be surprised if it didn't repeat itself (with the caveat, I hope it was a fluke!) As far as freezes go, the intake would be the cheapest and easiest fix (shouldn't have to pull the motor. Just pull off all the connections, hoses, linkage, remove carburetor and then remove the intake. Is it MPI or Throttle body injected? A real quick on ebay gives me a 4.3L intake (marine application) for $295.00. Add gaskets and RTV and you're back in business...make sure that's where you leak/crack is before buying anything...if it's the block...local rebuilder short block...if it heads, junk yard...
