i tried starting it up today, wouldnt go.
the lights and other stuff turned on.
i got nothing from turning the key, wouldnt even try to turn over
i had a friend look at it. he messed around and crossed the solenoid with a screw driver and it turned over but weakly. i kept it running for a bit. took her out and then back to the dock. i tried starting her again and she did. but u could tell it wasnt getting enough power. could it be just the battery was dead. alternator? solenoid?

i did recently put in a new radio and it runs directly to the battery. so when the perko switch is off im assuming it could be drawing some power from the battery still. i might have to splice into the power before the perko switch im guessing?

any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Charge the battery then test the charging circuit. Make sure all the connections are very clean and tight.

Tell us the make and model of your engine so I can move this to the correct forum.
