I've been down this road before, but for a Chrysler 50hp. All the standard places, really: craigslist, Ebay, local Marine salvage yards. If you've got a Mercury dealer that's been in business for a while, that person might be able to point you in the right direction. I've even seen some of these old Chryslers show up with automotive ignition systems in them, but I can attest to the fact that they don't hold up because I've had one. The bad news is once you find the parts you need, the person/place tends to be on the very expensive side. Not to sound negative, but make sure you weigh the value of the engine against the cost of the part. You can easily spend a few hundred dollars on ignition system since the parts are so rare.
