The absolute best glue is one you make yourself out of epoxy resin and a powder thickener like SM fairing compound, Cabosil, or even talcum powder.

You're going to have epoxy resin anyway, so why spend money on other stuff that isn't as good? I like to mix the resin and powder up to a mayonnaise consistency and spread it over the wood with a notched trowel, lay the other piece of wood on top and clamp and screw... this way everything is epoxied.

I forgot you're using Epoxy. JNG is 100% correct!!! Glue em up just like he suggested!!! Heck you can even use the fine wood dust from your R/O sander to thicken it with. ;)

Hmmm... interesting. Normal talcum powder or sawdust really? That's interesting, if thats the case I already have talc I am sure I will have plenty of wood dust since it looks like the decking is going to get done first. Waiting on the epoxy got the closed rivets yesterday. I was thinking just to be overkill can I use the epoxy on the bottom inside of the hull as I would gluvit? Its probably overkill and dot need to but since the floor is off and foam is out. Why not? Reminds me that I need to order foam also. Any suggestions as to who sells it? BTW JNG I am planning on using the nautolex and have been spying your thread on your boat for the last fews days. Looks awesome!
