Hi,

Guys i ran into a problem where my 4.3l volvo penta was taking in water in the oil so stripped it down and saw a breach in the head gaskets and said that was it replaces head gasket etc but i ran it for about 15 mins when i had it back together took the oil cap off and noticed white murky oil in the head and i was like ohh no (before only #5 cylinder was taking water and its the same again only 5 takes water). I was wondering if i can use a Chevy s10 block with the heads, pistons cam sharft, cranck shaft too. I know the mainfold is different> Is this Possibile to do. HELP PLEASE.

The GM block dosent care what name tag it has, so it will work. You need to determine the comp ratio of the new motor first and maybe a higher comp piston and the proper cam or reuse the original marine one. Dont forget the brass core plugs too(aka Freeze out plugs).
