Re: help..i made a mistake and cant get up

First: NEVER run a 2-stroke motor by using starting fluid. When you do that, there is NO oil in the engine! BAD DEAL (you are making your SMALL problem into a HUGE problem!)

Second: Trash the fuel. No way to know what mix you have or what you would have by dilution, etc.

Third: Start over with your fuel mix and mix it per manufacturer instructions. In this case 100:1 Newer engines require less oil. More oil will just foul your plug, which you have already done. Add Sea-Foam fuel additive according to the directions (one ounce per gallon, IDK how many gallons you have). It is expensive, but it WORKS! It will de-gunk your carbs if they aren't TOO bad.

Fourth: Pull the spark plugs. If you want endless work and jacking around, try cleaning it some more like you are talking about. If you are lazy like me, or tired of messing around with no success (I've never had any success resurrecting plugs) go buy a couple. They are cheap.

Fifth: Install new plugs, hook up NEW gas, and start.

LAST: You CANNOT run the motor at WOT on muffs. Don't know if you knew that. Just get it running, and let it run 5-10 minutes (at least) on the muffs.

Good luck!
