Help ID Evinrude 35 hp

My neighbor just aquired an Evinrude model E35ECIG, SN E0002201 on a 13 ft. Boston Whaler from a relative. I want him to get off on the right foot in boating and be able to get the OEM manuals, etc.
What year?
Any comments on this series of motors? It's an electric start, remote control, manual tilt, and appears to be in very good general condition. We will go through the entire "awakening a sleeping outbourd" process.

"CI" says it is a 1981. I have a '84 on my own boat and it is one of the best motors I've ever owned, if that means anything.

Still interested in opinions of owners of this series of engine.
