Help identify fuel connector 9.8 hp

Just inherited a 1979 9.8hp with no gas tank or connectors, need help in identify and locating a connector.

That is a standard Mercury bayonet fuel quick disconnect. You need the female end on your fuel hose going to the tank. You need something like this:http://www.iboats.com/Seasense-Fuel...8415901--**********.787361970--view_id.498014

The male end goes into the fuel tank, I would recommend getting a fuel tank that accepts that end.

Ok thanks for your help, what type of gas tank is required for this male fitting, is there a name, size or description of the this fitting or all gas tanks universal?
