Re: HELP! Insurance Problem

But Flyer, you can see how it is completely logical for them to deny your claim? TWO other "experts" that you have taken it to are saying the same thing, "it's not an impact." So basically at this point, you have your word and a 3rd shop against two shops and an appraiser. Something is not right here, at all.
Read the denial closely and prepare for a fight. It certainly appears that you are headed for one.
As far as being civil, I am doing the best I can, when one person on here is telling you to commit crimes. And he has NO experience in the industry, nor does he know the laws of your province or your policy.

Something does not compute. There were 4 people in the boat, and one behind it that witnessed the impact.

What happened to their testimony?

The insurance company is not interested in it saying, "I'm sure the other witnesses will tell me the same thing you are".

Translation: They believe they would all lie as well... TOTALLY unacceptable and shows a complete lack of professionalism!

Sorry about the damage and struggle to get it repaired!

Where the 2 repair shops that said it didn't look like impact damage shops you picked out or the ins company sent you to? If you picked them, what are they telling you about their thinking impact isn't cause of damage? Also, I don't understand if insurance is supposed to cover everything except general wear and tear, rust, and gradual deterioration what does it matter? Surely they can't believe it was w&t, rust or gradual deterioration.

Ok, I spoked to a close friend who is an insurance adjuster. He said this whole story is bogus. He said that there is only a couple reasons why they would deny the claim, one, is if there was pure negligence, proof alchohol was involved, someone not qualified rto drive was driving, or the possiblity this never happened in the water. His policy might only cover the boat itself and not trailering. Maybe there is proof that this happened while it was being trailered and that is why they are denying the claim.

He said all insurance companies have to give u a written letter explaining their findingd and why they declined it. Also, there must be substantial support to back their deciscion.

This story is total B5. He knows it didn't happened in the water and is trying to pull a fast one.

Most US policies cover almost everything. Really shouldnt make any difference how the accident happened. It could have slid off the trailer. Shouldn't make any difference.

In the interest of civility, I have deleted the post in question. As for you sir, apparently u plan on arguing the point further. Well, I have better things to do with my time. You, apparently do not. That's your problem.

Re: HELP! Insurance Problem

I have said this time and again...Insurance companies are legalized criminals! I just went through an episode with the insurance co that carries my business insurance...been paying them for years and when i inquired about making a small claim ($1500) here's what i was told by my agent: We can process your claim, but it might end up that we cancel your insurance, which the cancelation notice would then be sent to the insurance bureau resulting in the chance that no insurance co would carry me after that...And it is the same with a homeowners policy...you pay for years and years, but if you make more than one claim they then have the right to cancel...again making it nearly impossible to get insurance again..!! BOTTOM LINE...insurance is for disaster ONLY! Try making a claim...your insurance is going to go up and you will end up paying 3 times as much as the original monetary costs...you can either pay for the mistake up front or you can pay the insurance co an exuberant amount of money for years on end! Here's another good example of these criminals: back in '86 or '87 when hurricane Hugo went through Charlotte, my father had several trees that were uprooted and perilously hanging over his house...he called his insurance agent and informed them of the possible damage the trees could cause to the house...Here's what he was told: If the trees aren't touching the house, then there's nothing they would do...my father questioned their reasoning, but they said it had to be touching the house...Dad then informed them that they would surely be getting a call back tomorrow as he could make that a reality...and the price tag for the damage to the home would be more substantial...You think they cared? NO! Insurance fraud...perfected by insurance companies...You talk about a scam...now they got it going on!

Actually, about your father's situation. The tree didn't fall on his house. As of right now, he does have the ability to get it fixed himself before he needs to make a claim.

Also, if the tree does fall on his house afterwards, the insurance might reject the claim, due to negligence. Since he's aware of the situation and failed to fix it.

Insurance is not for preventative claims.

I don't know who you or your "close friend" are, and quite frankly I could care less...

If you bothered to read everything I stated, you would know I have full coverage for the boat, including while it is on its trailer. In fact both boat trailers I own are insured as well.

Your comments and accusations about me personally, are insulting, bordering on slanderous, and could not be any further from the actual truth! In addition, they have been reported to the moderators of this website.

I will not be making any further replies to any of your comments, so please go crawl back under the rock from which you came...
