I attached a pic of a boat below that I want to go look at later today. The owner isn't sure of the brand and isnt' home untill later to look at it. I would like to do some research on the hull in the mean time. He just listed in late last night and I would like to be the first to see it as it's fairly cheap if it is what he says it is.

Please let me know if you know what it is, and if you know anything about it. the second word of the name is "Magic", but google din't get any results.

Thanks in advance,

Just making sure you know that Force outboards were discontinued over 10 years ago and are no longer fully supported with parts.....

"Majic" is what the owner named the boat, not the name of the manufacturer.

Ok to me the OWNER isnt sure what brand it is is a huge red flag, has he lost the tittle or is it stolen or has the data plates have been swapped or what. I wouldnt touch it even if its free.

The owner doensn't know off hand, and isn't home to look. He has a clear title for the boat and trailer. He remembered that on the title the brand was "________ Majic". Was just trying to figure it out. So I could do research before he got home and go check it out. He's asking $3,000 and it comes with a ton of extras includeing a $600 GPS fishfinder. I don't think it will last long.

Thanks,
Austin

You might be able to look up the manufacture with the HIN.

"Extras" on a boat aren't even worth 10 cents on the dollar. By the age of the motor, if its OEM, $3000 is a stretch. Its a buyer's market. Also, the trailer looks to be too short for the boat, so the rig is mismatched.

Of course, the pic only tells so much. Condition is everything, and only an inspection will tell the whole story.

That looks to be one of the later Forces, so parts shouldn't be a problem. I can still get all the regular maintenance items for my '88. Of course, I also have a complete working motor for parts.
