Good luck with this " custom " system.-------Get this motor running properly before you worry about a trim system !

Yah - thanks.

And definitely. If all goes as planned it'll be running next week - carbs are going back on tonight as well as the head work you commented on in the other post.

I just build parts lists and stock the garage piece by piece as i see things come available.

So i've uncovered a bit. It looks like somewhere along the way someone installed a hacked arm from a 70, 75, 85, 115 & 135 outboard on the 50 HP. Part number 0122612 is the bracket i have. This would explain the awkward bolt and screw to the midsection situation - the holes dont line up with what the 50hp engine has stock.

I should have part 0123726 and then i could use stock mounting hold and both trim rams.

but to make things complicated there is also just a TILT system for the 50 hp which uses a different pump motor/trim ram configuration. But looks a helluva lot easier to install (power tilt kit 50 hp electrical 1975 accessories) but doesn't use the mounting bracket i have. So that would be more annoying than anything else.

let the eBay scouring begin.

Figured i would clear it up to some degree. Thanks!
