I have a 90hp force 3 cylinder off a 1990 bayliner capri that I need to remove. the Motor looks like the one below. Do you know the correct bolt? The ones I see on amazon/ebay don't look like they would fit.

eye bolts can be screwed in those three bolt holes around the nut on top of the flywheel,I ran 3 bolts through links of a chain then put a hook under the chain and lifted from that.

The bolt hole sizes are 1/4 X 20. I use three bolts through a plate with a single eye bolt in the center of the plate. I fabricated my own because I do a lot of lifting. You can also use a steering wheel puller with the three bolts in the arms and an eye bolt in the center hole.

If you still want to find a screw on, of if you want to make one, the crankshaft nose is 3/4 diameter threaded something like 18 threads per inch. If you can find the correct nut and weld a loop to it, it will serve very well as a lifting ring.

Did you used hardened bolts are just the home depot bolts? I was looking earlier and found the steering wheel puller idea and started looking for an eye bolt that would fit the center as well.

I wish they just had the correct 3/4-16 TPI eye bolt. I cannot find it online and called fastenal. Does not exist.

On the chain, did you attach it to eye bolts or bolts directly attached to the holes? How large of chain did you use and how did you terminate the chain so the hook could go underneath?

three bolts directly in flywheel, left 5 or. 6 links between bolts where hook could have room to go under the sections of chain.

I use an old starter bracket.
It's L shaped and I enlarged the holes and install it on the flywheel.
Move the wheel so the bracket is in the center of the motor.
The 1/4-20 bolt is strong enough to lift the motor off and then some.

On my Force 40, I used three 5/16" eyebolts from Home Depot, then 3 "S" hooks to get to the center and up to the lift.
