I purchased an engine sync gauge on ebay and it came with no instructions. On the back are 4 connections.
1. 12V
2. GND
3. LIGHT
4. SIG

I can't figure out how this will work with only one input. I thought a sync gauge needs a signal from each tach.

Any ideas?

Re: Help needed with sync gauge

Been a long time since i did one of those Mike, but it seems to me I ran another gray wire from each tach, to the sig post on your sync guage.

I'll check on Monday for any literature I have at shop ( I try & keep at least 1 set of instructions for every guage)

Are you sick and tired of this rain too?

Nice Boat buy the way.

That would be fantastic if you could help me fill in the blanks!

Here's what the gauge looks like...

Yeah the rain is getting to be a little much. Almost ready to trade the boat in on an ark.

Thanks again!

That gauge requires a sync module to interface between the two tachometers and the gauge. It was originally built for carver yachts. The module has 2 gray wires (one for each tach), a violet wire (B+), a black (Grd) and a wht and wht/blk wire connections to the B+ and S terminals on the gauge. The p/n for the module is 931654.

Gaugeguy: Thanks a million. At least I know where to start looking. Any idea who makes the gauge and module?

I sure do, I designed both of them!! Unfortunately we don't sell direct to the public, but if you were to contact a Carver dealer and order p/n 5765414, I'm sure they could hook you up.

Your welcome Strat. If you do get the module and are having trouble wiring it in give me the heads up and I'll walk you through it.
