PM sent. Got some not-so-great pictures to send you. Can't remember how to get the camera into macro mode. Don't know how to load them here. You're missing some parts for sure. The purpose of the parts was to prevent over revving the motor in neutral gear and I guess it also stops the throttle at the correct start position. Should not affect anything else as far as I can see. Rick.

Thanks for the pictures,

I think I am going to hold off on the missing parts for now, Don't think they will affect the way it runs..

Put the new wires in today along with new points and condensors, Got the flywheel torqued down at 43Lbs
Set the points at .022 like the manual says, Got good fire coming from both plugs, Just waiting on the carb kit now.. Once that gets here I will try and fire her up.. Should run good, I hope...

Thanks,

Ant..

Ill update post once I get carb back on...

Sounds good. That part that is broken..... it moves over as you throttle up and hits a pin (missing on yours) when the shifter is in neutral, stopping the movement of the throttle so at that point you can;t get any more revs. while in neutral. As you shift to forward and revers the little pin moves either up (reverse) or down (forward) out of the path of the broken stopper so that you can obtain full throttle. I doubt you will miss it but thought you would like to understand it's function. I set my points at .020 . If it fails to run well on the water that is the first thing I would look at. Rick.

That is exactly what I thought it was for, Even with that little broken part it still hits the pin in neutral.. The pin is not shown in the photo I posted cause I had the gear shift apart at the time.. But all together now and it hits it....

I only put the points at .022 cause the manual says if putting in NEW POINTS they should be set at .022.
If readjusting old points to set at .020.. Kind of weird I thought but that was what it says.. We'll see how it runs..

Thanks,

Ant..

Hello Rick,

I got it all back together but still having the same problem, I can't get it to idle and it seems to me it has a miss/timing not right, Please watch video and let me know what you think I need to do.. Remember I set points at .022 like the manual says for installing new points...

Thanks,

Ant...

I'm having a hard time feeling your pain when I see you wearing sandals. It's 21 F. as I type where I live. LOL. Our lakes and slower rivers are already starting to ice up. It is running rough. Would you agree it runs smoother at a higher RPM? Seems to me it does. What i would suggest is at low RPM, open your slow speed needle in increments of 1/8 wait 20 seconds and open it again. Don't worry about what the manual says in terms of number of turns from seated, just keep doing it and see if at some point it levels out. If it's a lean sneeze it will level out. If it's ignition, it won't. Let me know how it goes. Also, these 9.5's are notorious for exhaust leaks and can choke themselves by breathing in bad fumes. To eliminate that, I've put a fan on a stool and had it blowing right across the carb. Geez, I don't even know how to post pictures and your attaching video. Good show. Don't give up, your almost there. Rick.

Yes, it is definetly running rough.. It does smooth out at higher RPM but still has slight miss or whatever you want to call it..
I also found something else that is broken and it is the idle control on the end of the throttle bar, The plastic screw in there was broken in pieces in there so I ordered one of them, there was no idle control so I am sure that will help as well , It just kept turning with doing nothing.. I will also play with the slow speed adjustment and see what that does..

Sorry to hear it so cold, I could not live in the cold like that.. I would just freeze to death..

Ill let you know my findings,

Thanks,

Ant...
