With my problem, I first tried trimming up (prop further from the boat & higher) one notch, which made the problem worse. Trimming down one notch from neutral trim is what worked. The problem apparently happens at times & not others because of wind differences, wave differences & most of all by weight & the distribution of it. Apparently, in my case, I have always run on the verge of being trimmed a little too high. I have always noticed that, when planing around tight curves, my motor wanted to rev up some. That is apparently because my prop was riding a little too high & losing some contact with the water.
A guy at a marine shop said to try trimming up as well. That's where the problem is/was.
