Everyone (men or women),
I recently tried lowering my idle on my 1990 tracker pro series 70 hp three cylinder 2 stroke engine and I was amazed at the wild kinematics going on under the engine cover.
I turned some items - cable adjustment, lower stop screw with spring before I got the manual for a 1990 to 2000+ johnson motor. The manual is not super great. I was hoping to find a picture of the throttle linkage that shows how to set up the linkage. From my understanding, the idle setting is based on the idle air screw on each carburator, if any one can confirm this as well as how to adjust my throttle linkage, I would greatly appreciate it. I did notice that the rpm raises when engaging the throttle even before the venturi's on the carburators start to open. If anyone can tell me how to properly the carburators relative to the linkage, any help would be appreciated as well.
Thanks and you guys have been very helpful
I will try to add a picture with arrows and numbers later tonight of my engine with the linkage.
Scott
