Yeah I found that boatsafe site and tried it earlier, it did confirm this one is an '83 though. Guess I'll just stick with 19' Renken.
Found this page here too, http://boatspecs.iboats.com/Renken_Boats/bp/20br1380 but it doesn't help any. The only '83 Renkens they have listed are outboards.

Ya know, something weird to me. I don't see any front engine mounts or even where any once were. I found a pic on the web of a '81 Renken with the same engine, also no front mount. Looks like they hung them from the rear only.

I would think you need 4 mounts, one for each corner?

Now that you have it home.... Does the motor run and is the interior a complete gut job?

I started a thread in the Volve/Penta section regarding the mounts, apparently the AQ125 didn't use the front mounts. They cantilever mounted it. Eases my mind a lot !
The interior is most likely going to be a total gut. The floor seems pretty solid, I pulled back some of the carpet yesterday and there's pretty thick layer of fiberglass under it but I wont know for sure till I start drilling test holes. Wish I had a garage I'd be ripping and tearing already lol. It sits under a steel roof shelter remains of a barn for now. Just a bit cold to be messing with it. I may get anxious to get at it though so if the snow stays away as it has so far I may just get at the engine.

remember take pictures as you go. My boat winters in my garage. I measured the garage and bought the boat with length in mind. The garage is attached to the house as does not freeze. I have a propane heater the heats the garage up the short sleeve working temp an about half an hour.

My wife has a laugh saying the garage is for cars and I say, ya in your world it is, LOL. As I said earlier that boat should look real sharp when restored.

I will definitely take lots of pics and start a rebuild thread once I get to working on it. I wouldn't be against buying one of those steel carports to enclose and heat with a propane heater, if I had a place to put one lol. Any day we get that isn't really cold I think I will be working on it some, winter has been extremely mild so far.
I'm kinda thinking when it comes to paint time it will be a match of it's tow vehicle, light green and white '71 GMC.
