I have a mid 70s 20hp ( there isn't a serial number plate on it) that will only start with a shirt of gas from a spray bottle right into the carb. After it starts it runs pretty good, idle is a little iffy at times. After it sits for 10 or 15 minutes it will not restart without the shot of gas in the carb. Using the choke just floods the engine. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.
