I have a 2004 18' Crest Explorer which is about 1600# without the engine. Engine is a 2004 Johnson 50 hp, 4 cycle. The prop that is on the boat is a 3 blade with the # 000755 stamped on it and no other markings. I have taken
out all the nicks with a file but would like to get a new one and keep this for a spare. The engine runs about 6300 to 6500 full throttle now, no idea how fast that is. I am not sure the motor is mounted at the right height tho. When not moving the water is half way up on the lower mount cover on the side of the engine an when running it throws a lot of water to the sides of the transom. I need advice on what to get for a prop an how high to raise the engine.......

Re: Help with Prop Size

Have you looked under the prop nut for numbers?
I assume this is a pontoon?
We really need the prop size ,a prop shop can help you.
A gps speed to go along with rpm will help some.

I have the prop off and the only #'s are 000755 stamped on the hub between the blades. Yes it's a pontoon. I have found prop shop about 75 miles from my home so I guess it's going to be my best bet as the weather here is going to be white soon and the boat is safely put to bed in my garage till spring.
I just got it and only had it out 2 times before taking it out for the season and thought now is the time to find out about these things so I'll be ready for next year.
