I have just replaced all the carpet in my pontoon, and I took everything off so it could be done right. In the process I noticed my front lights(green/red) and my rear light(white) that the wiring had some dry rotting. I am wanting to replace all the wiring and then hook back into the fuse box, but I want to take the boat out tonight for a night ride with my wife. The wire is already layed out and runs from front to back, just for tonight can I hook these straight to my battery so we can go out tonight, and then this weekend they can be ran correctly to the fuse box? I hate to do damage to the lights or anything electrical, but it is a temp fix not stationary. Thanks in advance.
