If you have a full-sized water separating fuel filter, why not run without the pickup screen until the tank clears? The filter will catch whatever the screen would have and you can replace the filter easily.

that was another ? i had is the fuel water separater a filter also.is there a way i can clea the pick up tube with out scraping the crab back into the tank?
