Been quite a few years since my last post.
I have slowed down my boating use and have leaned to become a pretty proficient mechanic here one stuff and just needed the occasional old thread to help myself.
But i recently bought a new to me pontoon and have a question. I have found what I think to be the answer but it is not quite the same motor so I was not sure, but from what I understand all the inline motors have the same shift shaft length that are the same as far as midsection. Amazon is not holding up its end of the Prime deal so it looks like the manual I ordered will be a few days longer to get here....anyway the question that you may have figured out is what should the length of the shift shaft in neutral be to the mounting surface to the center of the hole on the shaft.
Motor is a 1998 60hp Evinrude.
