Aldo, go to your user area and click on your profile, scroll down and look for Publicly Displayed Name and enter your onscreen name there and then click save.
That should do it.8)

You need to go to the Change Name button in the User area. You will lose Aldo and your new Login will be the new name you select. Password stays the same . . .

My understanding is that the "Publicly Displayed" name field in the profile area is disabled. This came from a note from Neal77, the Admin guy posting in the New Forums section. Don't know if that has changed.

Yo Aldo, I think you will notice that if I have taken a nickname which was my final fnscreen name and that name shows on the posts. Other information is still recorded under my original screen name. You can accomplish the same thing by going to the user area. Or cop a plea like link did. The more things change the more they stay the same.

What does it say when you click the name change thing now? When mine finally "took" it looks like it will allow a new change. While it was still pending it said something like "this name change has been approved/denied by Admin". Maybe yours is still pending?
