I seem to recall that we once had a flyfishing forum here at iboats.
How wrong am i?
Was it perhaps not enough activity that caused it to go away?

I don't know what makes me think that there was one here, must be something to do with "Back to the future"

Though high in protein, flys are still not as good for you as fish...not strong fighters either. Never saw the point of throwing a piece of lint at the end of a garden hose anyway.

I really would like a flyfishing section also. Not good at it, but sure is fun!

I've tried and tried fly fishing, I've tried with microscopic hooks, you name it
I'll stick to my swatter I have much better luck

What were you fishing for and what set up were you using?

When i lived in Texas, i was very successful using a 9ft 6wt for bass and crappie, however fishing in saltwater is such a different arena, my 9ft 9wt St Criox is definitely the best rod that i've ever owned, its just as accurate as the 9ft 9wt GLoomis that a friend of mine has, except that his GLoomis is a bit more aggressive gives little extra lifting power that is needed for some of those Permits.
