How should I patch this on my 72 refinished Steury? With just some marine epoxy? You can see in the pic that the boat is sitting on it's trailer and the hole is kinda small. I don't think the hole can be seen from inside the boat though. It's like there are layers in the body and this hole is only through the first layer. The next layer is still solid!! I don't need the ultimate fix, just need to keep it from leaking for lake hopping. Thank you in advance for the advice.

access to the inside would be best, i have seen people clean and prep through the hole. they put the inner patch in and pull it down with a hook. when itsets up they grind it and lay mat and resin until its built back up. fairing and paint. then a keel guard

Please explain further... Thank you for the reply, but... what? Newbie for boat repairs here. I am very experienced at fixing things, but I have never patched a fiberglass boat hole before. A little better explanation would do me wonders! (PS, the help this websight gave me to refinish other items on this boat was awesome)
