So
Try a 16” 4 blade vortex. That is what I used to run for skiing on my old boat. 16” for skiing, 18” for everything else. Worked well and was relatively inexpensive . You will hit rev limiter based on your numbers so when not skiing you have to watch the throttle .

So a 4 blade 13x17 or 4 blade 14x17. What would be significant difference rather than my current vortex 4 blade 14.5x18
Lets back up a second ,in an earlier post you mentioned current 18”is only getting 3800 rpm at WOT? If that is accurate something is wrong as, while I wouldn’t expect a 4.3 to be a speed demon, in that boat wot if running correctly should be getting more rpm.

so either tach is off or engine is not in good shape tune up wise. This is critical to do first so you know your wot rpm and can make an educated decision on props.

assuming for a moment it is right you want to go down in pitch more like a 16” 4 blade , would think that would net 400-500 more rpm vs the 18”

More blades in the water will help you...a 4 blade will always be better in your situation...don't even think of going to a 3 blade. If you can find one relatively inexpensive, go for a High-Five

I have a boating friend with an older Cobalt (24') that this was the 'magic' prop for him and his use.
So would a 4 blade 14x21 be better than 14x17 for heavier loaded to get on plane.

No you down in pitch to get on plane faster
This will sacrifice some top end speed and if you go too low the engine will hit the rev limiter or go beyond the recommended max wot rpm
