Does anyone know if there is a filter in a 1993 Holley 2bbl Carb?
What would be the best way to clean this carb?
Should I take it apart, or is there some good Carb cleaner stuff? Seafoam?
Any help would be appreciated..

The carb has a mesh inlet screen but I've never seen them dirty unless you have a disintegrating gas tank without an inline filter. Why do you think you need to clean your carb?

Re: Holley 2bbl Carb Cleaning

I didn't see a mesh inlet filter (as I expected I would) (no solid charcoal filter either).
The reason for the question is: I had bought the boat and it had junk in the bottom of the tank. It killed on me multiple times out on the lake (not fun). The in-line fuel check-valve was full of green hairy gunk (4 different times). I finally pulled the tank, cleaned it and replaced the Fuel/Water Filter.
I was was wondering if there is anything else that I can fix before trying it out again on the water.
(I have a OMC 4.3 and I can only go 33-35mph with a max of 3800 rpm,, I need more power than that)

The mesh screen would be in the adaptor fitting between the carb and the fuel line nut. How does the engine appear to be running when at 3800 rpm. There could be other issues at play here. If you were starving for fuel the engine would stumble and stall.
