Re: Home printer not printing
Hello,
I would offer to connect to your computer remotely, but since it sounds like a physical printer problem it won't help if I do.
I would do the following:
#1 Print a test page from the printer to determine if it is printing at all. Usually there is a combination of buttons you press like holding down a button while turning it on, but your manual should tell you. If this prints fine then skip the rest of the steps and check your cable or reinstall the drivers.
#2 Try to clean the print heads by following the directions in your manual.
#3 If you want to invest the money then replace the print head. On this model it uses a seperate print head with individual carts for the colors. This is going to cost you $40-$50 and may not fix anything so you need to determine if its worth it to you.
#4 They have a 1 year warranty so if it is still under warranty I would call them and get a replacement. They have an insta exchange program that is not bad.
#5 Just buy a new printer. This one is only about $150 and we all know you would dump that into your boat with no problems.
Good Luck!
