Underwater debris cought me planing at full trottle. Inspected prop, idling and in neutral. Re engaged and no troubles, until arrival at coral reef where I normally reverse with hand tilted motor, finding my way at idling speed.
Wrong mate, the prop lifted itself up and out. The crash disabled the reverse locking. Lucky that I saw a metallic bit finding it's way to the reef bottom.(6yds down) It turned out to be a galvanised coil of about 1/2 x 5 " minus one eye.
No where in the parts book my system is dealth with, but by the look of it there must have been two of them springy coils. Search machines are no help as they seem to want you personally spell out at their office desks what it is you 're looking for.
I'm after two galvanised coil springs about 5 " long with reversed hooks originally used in the reverse locking system of my outboard. Sorry sticky that this became a hawser instead of a tread.:D
