Honda bf50 valve adjustment

For a 3 year old engine is it necessary to have the valves adjusted,or do you go by hours? Motor is running fine but thought this might fall under maintance.

I believe the recommended valve adjustment is after the first 20 hours and then every 200 hours after that.
