I bought a new Honda outboard 10 hp with remote, electric start, power tilt (model BFP10D3XRT), and no tiller.
Imagine my surprise when I opened a cardboard box with the motor and did not find any remote controls. It is impossible to use the motor without remote, similar to driving a car without ignition, gas pedal, and steering wheel.
The dealer said that I had to buy remote control box separately. Is it a new Honda policy to sell motors separately from controls? In the motor manual it says that remote control is part of the package. Does anybody knows what is the actual Honda policy, and if in my case it was a packing mistake?
