Depends, I would ask ye installing dealer to match the price. If they don't then I would buy it and see if they would install it. I wouldn't have it sent there...It would **** me off and probably irritate any other dealer to have one show up via UPS:)

Must order the part number that matches console and engine lenght once are correctly fitted to boat as they come in different lenghts. If delaer could match same price, let them do the entire installation work, just in case you ordered the wrong steering cable lenght

DocTide, I have two Honda OB installed on our 2010 Lund boat and all i can say it is that we love our motors, they fire up every time, they are one of the quietest motors, they design and make their own motors...no wonder Honda is the biggest engines manufacturer in the world and yes ,Honda does cost more but when you turn the key or pull the rope will be asking yourself...now why didn't i buy that Honda ?...My wife and i checked out Tohatsu and yes the price was mighty atractive but price is not everything,to us...piece of mind is everything.Good luck with your purchase...you'll need it.

There are no poor motors out there today. They are all good. Honda is the biggest because they make motors for weed whackers, lawn mowers, 4-wheelers, cars, etc. They are the most expensive because they know how to charge, and do it with aplomb.

Tohatsu is the most popular OB in the world. They are lesser-known in the US because they had until recently made the OEM units for others, such as merc and mariner, and only recently started selling their own label. They are Japan's oldest OB manufacturer, building motors for over 50 years. Their product line is built on the philosophy of reliability (for commercial fishing). They are the most reliable outboards in the world. Period. And in the US, for marketing purposes, they are also the lowest cost unit you can buy.

Reliability is peace of mind, and that's why I chose to sell and service the "good stuff". And yes, that's what I use on my personal boats.

Plainly in agreement, I'll second, that statement...

Happy Tohatsu Owners

Althought Honda could be the biggest engine manufacturer in the world, it's not the biggest outboard manufacturer in the world, that podium seems corresponds to Yamaha ?
