Hook in hull

I looked at my '93 Glastron and there is a bevel or dip just before the transom. It is pretty uniform all the way across. Is this factory or a hook? Anyone got pics of what I should be looking for? I'll take a pic of mine.

I have the same thing on my 88 Glastron. Its like a line across about 8" forward of the transom. About 1/4 inch deep. I am certain its a design element, especially comforted now that I have found you
