1999 Johnson 200hp ocean. The left side of the motor is running Around 135deg. and the right side is running around 150deg. problem is the bottom of one cylinder is running around 185/90, could it be some kind of blockage in the cylinder or is the head shot? Thanks

It could be a blockage in the head passages, sure. Could be anything from sand to scale buildup. What we usually do is remove both heads and clean them both. Then put them back on the opposite side. That way if you still have a problem and it follows the head you know it's in the head. If the problem stays on the same side the heads are, most likely, ok. Hopefully the cleaning cures the problem all together.

Check both t-stat assemblies too.

Thanks. The mech. just told me he was going to flush it with some sort of acid solution.
