Hi all, I have an engine that I might be re-furbishing to replace my 5.0GXI-e, it is a 5.7 GXI-D. It has a hot water system (for cabin heat I assume?). I know where the return is (large t-fitting), can someone tell me where the takeoff is and how I would plug it. It would be the bottom parts in the attached diagram. I don't have the engine in my possession yet, so I am trying to figure out what I have and what work would be involved to convert it.
Thanks
Scott R.

The supply usually comes from a plug on the circulating water pump, so just plug it. In few cases it can come from the side of the block where the drain plug is (Formula does this).

Ayuh,.... The feed side should be coming from the motor side of the t-stat, either from the block drain as AD mentions, or on my Merc, there's a 1/2" pipe plug in the intake manifold water tube,....

The pipe plug in the circulating water pump, is for cold water return,.....
