Alright everybody, here's a really important PSA. Check your water fittings. Washer, ice maker, sinks, everything. This sucks.

Sorry to see that! Water damage is the worst! We have a whole house water filter system and as part of that we have water alarms in the furnace room, laundry room, all bathrooms and really should add one n the kitchen! If there’s a leak the alarm system shuts off the water flow…saved us a few times….

My insurance company sent an offer for a free water alarm for the house. I’m not quite sure what’s involved. I was under the impression it di the whole house. Admittedly I haven’t looked into those alarms at all.

What system are you using that requires multiple units/sensors?

The ones I’ve looked at monitored flow rates from a single, whole house point
