I really love the look of the Baja's. I have been looking at the Outlaws, Hammers, etc. Something in the 20-24 ft range. I am looking to upgrade from my 18' Seadoo Jet Boat next year and have been seriously looking at these boats. I love the looks, the performance, and everything else that comes with this type of boat. Any cons to owning one of these???????

I would suggest you post on the Baja forum located 3/4 of the way down on the main forum page. You will get people replying they have had good and bad experiences, like about any boat made these days.Who owned it and did they actually take care of it.Yes some models and years had specific problems,by a lot of boat mfgs, but you will have to post up after you have narrowed your search

I have a Baja Hammer and love it! Its my second Baja. Baja's are cheap performance boats, most have big power and can handle rough water fairly easy... but they do have there share of problems. The best forum for pure Baja advice is www.teambajamarine.com. You'll find all the Baja info you would ever want over there.

Bajas are owned by a disproportionate number of hammerheads; they suffer the same fate as Bayliners: Too many owners get one with no clue as to the the effort/cash/care involved in caring for a boat. In the case of the Baja, it could mean a 502 cubic inch engine needs a rebuild at 8-10 grand.

Get a good one and you do get good bang for the buck, but you have to sort through dozens and dozens of Bajas owned by dopes. Also, many were run hard because the dope was trying to impress his li'l girlfriend.
