How can I unscrew this fuel cap

My gas cap has cracked on the top and is really hard to cone off. Any ideas to get it off?

Take the 3 screws out and replace it with a new assembly they are fairly cheap

Hammer and punch or chisel on the edge to spin it off

I'm with Fiberformboatowner in this one. Take the entire thing off and replace it...problem solved for good...

Either way works. Long time ago I busted 1, and used a hammer with a screwdriver on the good 'leg' to loosen it, and then picked up another assembly at the marine store and just used the cap from it. We were on a fishing trip so that fix was less down time
