Anyone know what causes double posts?

Well, I double post once in a while.<br /><br />When the site is really slow I lose concentration and click on "add reply" again. Sometimes I don't even realise it until I come back later.<br /><br />Some people just get impatient and think the software didn't see their first click, so they click again.<br /><br />Then there are some jerks who do it as a prank, just to annoy the mods.

I think it hapens to me once in a while when I hit the back button, instead of the go button at the lower right, and it usually happens when the site is really slow. When you hit the back button it takes you back to befour you posted,and you think you havent posted and you hit addreply again. Basically not paying close enough attention.

I think it also has something to do with your operating system.<br /><br />Technodude, "don't sweat the petty thing, don't pet the sweaty thing". Grab your surf board. Double post increase it too, its just that all the numbers in the post change together.

I think it happens Quite often, because folks are using the Back Button,+ Not using the Refresh Button,........<br />For the Newbies Anyways,........<br /><br />Most of the time,... For the Regulars,... I think it's just Post Count Padding.....

Im quilty of hitting the back button at times and then at times i get impatence and forget.

If you dont reply to the thread the back button is faster, than the go button at the bottom of the page, but the back button dosent refresh the main page.
