How do I drain my fuel line?

I have an old mercury outboard with a portable tank. The engine had some trouble this year and is not currently running. So I had to do a somewhat halfassed winterization this year. The tank is just straight gas cause the motor has autoblend. Sooooooo the fuel line is FULL of gas right now. If I squeeze the bulb, its very firm. But nothing squirts out of the line when i squeeze the bulb. This little bit of gas still in the line is going to be VERY old by the time I get the engine running again. It would be good to flush it all out somehow. But how?

Two ways to do it. One is to remove the fitting at the motor end and pump the primer bulb.

Second is to stick a small screwdriver into the motor end fitting and push the chrome ball back against it's spring. Now pump the primer. Be careful not to tear the rubber seal that touches the ball.

Open both ends of the fuel line and it will drain out.----If this uses that separate " auto blend " tank, throw it away as far as you can.

I drain the extra fuel out of my fuel line at the end of each season. I hold the motor connector high in the air then release the ball in the fitting. Also squeeze the ball to get rid of fuel in the line. Most runs back into the tank, but hold the line outside the boat so any fuel squirting out goes outside the boat. Not sure if this is " correct" or not but it works for me.
