How do I hook up a Dwell/Tach to F50TRLW??

How do I hook up a Dwell/Tach to my 1998 F50TRLW?? The meter has a black and green lead. I know the black goes to ground, but not sure about the green lead. I'm thinking it goes to the negative side of the coil. My Clymer shows the ignition coil and the wire that is the ground for the coil and the coil primary wire. Thanks everyone. Larry

green lead will go to the ungrounded side of the ign coil.
RPM reading will be double as that coil fires every 180*.
its a waste spark system. 1 and 4 fire anytime 1 and 4 piston is at or near TDC. same as 2 and 3.

Thanks, rodbolt, but can you tell me where the ungrounded side is? I have the Clymer manual and on page 220 it shows the ignition coil, but not clear on the ungrounded side or where to hook my green lead to.

what color wires are on your coil primary connectors?

The top one is black with white stripe and the bottom is black with a orange stripe.

if the other 2 wires are black tap into the striped ones with a paper clip slipped up the wire from the end of the connector.

Many thanks, rodbolt, the other two are black. When you say tap into the striped ones, do you mean I need to connect my tact's green lead to both the black/orange and also the black/white wire?

This is new ground for me and I really enjoy learning how to do what I can on my own. I'm sure to you my question about one or both wires is stupid but I want you to know that I appreciate you taking the time to help me.
