How do i stop the itch

Hey guys been grinding on my wellcraft for a couple days. Just wondering what some of you do to get rid of the fiberglass itch at the end of the day? I were a tyvek suit gloves glasses mask but that SH## seams to find its way! So what are your tricks other than a shower cause that just dont get it all lol

Rub down with some baby powder before you start may help . A little trick I use when installing wall insulation . When you shower rinse down with cold water first . That closes your pores then go to hot to open your pores to clean out the rest .

I lotion up before suiting up,seems to help but still get itchy,just not as much. I just read somewhere on here that doubling up on the tyveck helps a lot too. When you find the perfect cure let me know!!

You could always get a tinny:laugh:, said no glasser ever! :laser::tinfoil3:

ive used duck tape rolled backwards around my hand a bit like a wax job. it pulls out some hair at the same time but it does remove alot of the itches.

Baby Powder, and duct tape your sleeves and ankles. Wet Towel Around the neck with a full hoody.

I rub lotion on then give myself a baby powder dousing...additionally, you can tape your wrists and ankles and add a wet scarf around your neck, if you are not using a full face respirator and a Hooded type Tyvek suit, I would recommend those...
SP also nailed it...when you are done for the day, take an ICE cold shower first, then warm it up...last but not least, you can get some itch medicine at the pharmacy for stuff like skeeter bites or poison Ivy...I have used Cortisone and it helps a bit...
Hey, nobody said this was going to be itch-free work, actually the itching is free...

Or, like Bomber Goober said, get a tinny...NOT!

2-3 days....time will get rid of it....

actually I used all of the above...also got me a lupe and some precision tweezers for the one's that got in my fingers...I hated those the most!

When you shower wash in one direction instead of scrubbing back and forth.

I maid the mistake once of grinding glass without a tyvek suit just jeans and a sweater WOW what a hard way to learn. Anyway more grinding today and will try these remidys to help keep it to a bare min thanks

yep my dad used to work in a fiberglass extrusion plant and he swore by the duct tape trick.

I have a tinny also,that's the one I run hard and put away wet! It's still pluggibg away after I've had it for 25 years and I'm the second owner......LOL
