How do you adjust the screw on the throttle control arm

1988 25Horsepower johnson i cannot figure out where this screw needs to be at how do you set this when you turn the handle the thing on the motor spins the little roller on the other part it touches are they supposed to touch i dont know how to set this up please help me

I think you're speaking ofthe carburetor throttle roller and where it needs to be set to properly contact the armature plate (under the flywheel) at a determined place. If so.........

Look closely at that cam that's attached to the armature plate. You'll see a scribed mark upon it. The screw you mention must be adjusted so that the scribe mark touches and just starts to open the throttle butterflies when that scribe mark is dead center of the roller.

the scribe mark looks like a v is that it that should line up with the roller as it starts to or before it opens
