Trying out my new one I got off e-bay. Disconnected from the engine and ran gas out. How do you get gas out of hose?

A couple ways I have done it but probably not the best methods. First one I have left the hose attached to the motor and not the tank and that seems to get most of the gas out, but since no air can get it it sucks the bulb down (like squeezing it). You can also disconnect the fitting that goes to the motor and pump the fuel into a container, then reattach the fitting using a hose clamp (good time to oput new fittings on if needed). Another method I have used which works for a while then the fitting will leak is to put a nail or something into the end but be careful the gas might spray out. Over time the nail messes up the seals on the fitting. I use these because I was trying to use up some old gas from the boat in a weed whacker.

Depending on how old the gas is and what mix it is you maybe fine with just hooking it up to your motor and letting it run out on it's own. Just have good fresh gas in the tank.

I have an Idea. I'll get a spare brass tank fitting from WalMart. It should drain out once attached.

Insert the end of a plastic zip tie, then squeeze the bulb, pump out as much as you like.

I have used a wooden popsickle stick like Roscoe and pump the bulb till you get tired.
