Re: How Do You Get To The Parts Like Pumps
Your posts would be much easier to read and understand if you didn't capitalize every word. It would also help if you stuck in just hint of punctuation now and then. What kind of "auto battery management system" are you talking about? What part of the boat had "dual battery system" written on it? Does the boat have a "dual battery switch" that shows a knob with OFF/BAT 1/BOTH/BAT 2 on it? You have three batteries because you have either of two electrical systems. One battery is obviously the starting battery. The other two are for the trolling motor. OR you may have two starting batteries and just one trolling motor battery but that would be an exception rather than a normal setup. If the trolling motor is a 24 volt motor then two batteries are required to run it. Those two batteries need to be wired in series to provide 24 volts. If they are wired in parallel then the output is still 12 volts but you end up with two buckets of electricity to draw from. As for running wires and getting to things, normally there are access covers that you remove. I can't believe a boat manufacturer would make you cut up the floor to get to a pump. Running wires is another story but some boats have what's called a "chase" (essentially a tube) that runs from one area of the boat to another into which the wires run.
