How does this outdrive look?

I'm looking at a boat (2003 Bayliner) with a Mercruiser. My current boat has a 1986 outboard and is trailered, so it still looks pretty good. I don't have any experience with a boat kept in the water, so I was surprised at how this outdrive looks. I'm wondering if this is normal for a pressure-washed drive that isn't re-painted or is this is a sign of damage?

Typical of what any OD will look like if moored in salt water, most look worse!

Cosmetically speaking it looks like it should.Still need to check fluid and pressure and shifting.

Thank you. It's about 130 miles away - sounds like it may be worth the trip to check it out.
