It can be run right up to the point the reevets pop and ya sink.....



and heres another reason i want to scrap my glass sc and restore the 18ss.....i wish the funds would cooperate! if i did this in my glass starcraft it would only be after i called for rescue :facepalm:

glassers just think they ride better cause they are on land getting those pesky stringers reglassed in an not out on the water. Or they can't afford the fuel to push their overweight hulls.

Actually, my glasser gets as good, if not better mileage than my SS did - prolly 'cuz I wasn't dragging all those rivit heads through the water...

Anyone care to offer up an opinion on the ride quality of an 18' SS with a 90-115HP ride vs. my 16'SS w/ the 70?

My lake of choice is 2500 acres and it seems to not take too much breeze to get rougher than the family likes (OK...or me, either). Small, inland lakes wouldn't be any problem.

....i cruised about 5 miles, trolled all day(say 13 hours) then cruised in a good 5 miles......$28.00 to fill. cant complain i guess

Larger heavier boats ride better, get em both out and test it (take video)
